The July 2009 edition of Arizona Apartment News magazine featured an article by Chris Walker (Starkweather Roofing‘s VP of Business Development) titled “The Dirty Truth About Pigeons”. Click here to read the article.

 

The article explains how pigeon debris can damage your roof (as well as air conditioning and other mechanical equipment), and can be a fire and health hazard. There are tips on getting rid of pigeons, and an explanation of the process required for proper cleaning and removal of pigeon debris. Did you know that pigeon debris weighs approximately 18 pounds per cubic foot? That’s just one disgusting yet interesting fact you’ll learn by reading this article.
