Roof Mate
Of course the ROOF MATE bucket isn't green but our corporate identity is, and has been for over 30 years. This is a reflection of the cool roofing movement that was started in the early 1970's, when UNITED COATINGS introduced the very first water-based elastomeric roof coating for use in protecting spray-applied polyurethane foam on roofs and tanks.

Since then we have coated more than 750 million square feet of flat and low-slope roof surface with sustainable and energy saving elastomeric coatings. ROOF MATE is recognized around the world for it's outstanding performance and value as a sustainable roofing system. ROOF MATE meets all state and federal standards for reflectivity, fire resistance and energy savings. It is also a recognized "COOL CONSTRUCTION" material.

Diathon
Our top of the line advanced acrylic elastomer designed to provide economical, long-term protection over polyurethane foam roofs and tanks. It combines high solids emulsion polymers, reinforcing laminar pigments, and non-migrating fire retardants for superior durability, waterproofing mildew resistance, ultraviolet resistance and fire resistance. DIATHON is UL 790 Class A classified, Factory Mutual and ICC listed, and conforms to all VOC requirements. It is currently in place throughout the world protecting over 500,000,000 sq. ft. of polyurethane foam insulation.

Kymax
KYMAX is a low-build elastomeric coating that provides the ultimate in reflectivity, color stability and weather resistance over new or existing roof surfaces. Although it is highly flexible, it exhibits a tough, enamellike finish that resists abrasion, biological growth, dirt, oil and all types of weather extremes.

Industrial Coatings

High-build polyurethane elastomers provide corrosion and abrasion protection in water and chemical environments. High tensile strength and elongation characteristics allow protection from a wide variety of abrasion conditions. Fast-cure, highly cross-linked properties result in extremely durable membranes with minimal downtime required for application.

There are a number of different products within our Elastuff System and they include the following:

Elastuff 101/102/103
Effective over concrete, metal and asphaltic substrates
     
Elastuff 110
Used for coating O.D. pipe, interior tank lining, valves, and all areas subject to solvents, oils and other hydrocarbons. It is an outstanding barrier to aromatic as well as aliphatic solvents.

Elastuff 120
A two component, 100% solids polyurethane elastomer coating containing no mocha or fillers such as clay or mica, and is NSF-approved. It was designed for protecting surfaces subject to abrasion in aqueous solutions or environments, including water, salt water, various slurry systems, and numerous acid and base solutions. It is equally effective under dry abrasive and/or corrosive environments.

Elastuff 120 Mastic
A two-component, 100% solids polyurethane elastomer in a high-build, mastic consistency. This system provides a limited workable pot life, and therefore does not require specialized application equipment.

Elastuff 160
A two-component, 100% solids polyurethane coating system. This unique thermosetting rubber is especially formulated to achieve exceptional adhesion to properly prepared metal surfaces without the need for separate primer coat.

Elastuff 300
Especially developed for providing waterproofing, corrosion protection, chemical resistance, and/or abrasion and impact resistance over a wide variety of vertical and horizontal substrates. It can be used over primed steel, concrete, wood, fiberglass, geotextile fabric and foam substrates.

Elastuff 310
Especially developed for providing waterproofing, corrosion protection, chemical resistance, and/or abrasion and impact resistance over a wide variety of vertical and horizontal substrates. It can be used over primed steel, concrete, wood, fiberglass, geotextile and foam substrates.

Elastuff 320
Especially developed for providing a durable waterproof membrane over vertical and horizontal concrete and masonry substrates subject to aqueous environments. It also provides a high degree of corrosion protection, as well as chemical, abrasion and impact resistance. ELASTUFF 320 can also be used over primed metal, concrete, wood, fiberglass, geotextile fabric and foam substrates (EPS, isocyanurate or polyurethane).

Primer 302 LV
PRIMER 302 LV is a two-component, high performance corrosion resistant primer. It combines corrosion inhibiting pigments with a crosslinking polymer resin to form a highly stable polymer-pigment matrix. PRIMER 302 LV creates a physical and chemical bond between the substrate and polyurethane/polyurea elastomers. This superior bond strength is achieved by chemically crosslinking the polymer in the primer to the polyurethane/ polyurea elastomer topcoat.

Architectural Coatings

Canyon Tone Stain
CANYON TONE STAIN locks into the surface pores of concrete, masonry and brick without forming a heavy surface film. It will not peel or flake when properly applied over these substrates.  The pigments and colorants used in CANYON TONE STAIN are prevented from settling by a proven process of chemical suspension. Color uniformity in the container ensures the Contractor of a non-lapping, controlled application and color uniformity on the structure.  CANYON TONE STAIN allows the building to breathe by permitting the passage of moisture vapor under a vapor pressure drive.  Also available in clear.

Graffiti Shield
One of the most frustrating problems facing Facility Managers, Building Owners and even Homeowners is graffiti. The deliberate defacing of public, municipal and private property is a multi-million dollar problem that continues to grow worse. GRAFFITI SHIELD is a unique, “clear” coating and cleaner system that has been specially designed to help you fight back.

GRAFFITI SHIELD can be applied to any new or existing solid, vertical surface that is free of graffiti. The clear finish is highly abrasion resistant, will not yellow with age, and imparts an attractive low sheen to the surface. GRAFFITI SHIELD is highly resistant to most types of aerosol spray paint and permanent markers, as well as dirt, soot and pollution.

Be prepared for the worst! When the taggers strike and leave their mark, simply wipe their handwork away in less time than it took to create it using GRAFFITI SHIELD CLEANER, a proprietary blend designed to dissolve even the most stubborn graffiti.

For ordinary dirt and grim build-up from daily exposure, GRAFFITI SHIELD makes clean-up a snap. Just use any mild household cleaner and a damp cloth to wipe the surface clean.

Acrysheen
ACRYSHEEN is a water-based epoxy, penetrating sealer designed to produce a clear, semi-gloss surface sheen. It is manufactured from non-yellowing, advanced acrylic resins to form a durable finish that provides long term water repellency, dirt and graffiti resistance, and weather protection.

Aquathon
A permanently elastomeric, advanced acrylic membrane for providing waterproofing protection on exterior concrete, masonry, stucco and wood wall surfaces. Bridges hairline cracks and repaired areas, forming a continuous membrane resistant to all forms of weather and airborne pollutants. AQUATHON is a "breathing" membrane, allowing moisture vapor to escape from the substrate or building interior while remaining impervious to mass water penetration from the exterior.

In-Stone
IN-STONE is a water-based, modified acrylic designed to penetrate porous vertical concrete and masonry surfaces. This penetrating, semitransparent stain adds color to substrates such as standard or split-faced concrete block, pavers, cast-in-place concrete, or other concrete and masonry surfaces. It possesses excellent color stability, ultraviolet resistance, alkaline and pollution resistance. IN-STONE is integrally locked into the substrate as a result of its low viscosity and microscopic penetration properties, thus preserving the existing detail on decorative textures. IN-STONE will not crack or peel when properly applied.

In-Wood
IN-WOOD utilizes state of the art wood protection technology in combining the highest quality oils with microscopic Trans-Oxide pigments, allowing maximum penetration for long term performance. Trans-Oxide pigments, at approximately .01 micron, are 1/15 the size of standard paint or stain pigments. These Trans-Oxide pigments allow for superior penetration and ultraviolet protection. The UV transmission is reduced to nearly 5% compared to the 50-65% transmission of common pigments found in semitransparent stains. A natural version is also available for maintaining wood in its present or natural state.

Rhino Top
RHINO TOP is a high quality water-based acrylic finish incorporating an epoxy additive to increase the abrasion resistance properties of the film. A special spherical silica sand is suspended in the emulsion to provide a fine uniform texture.  This silica can be eliminated for projects requiring a smooth finish.
